Canadian Women's Hockey League - Equipment Manager Job Description

The Canadian women's hockey league is a professional women's hockey league that houses the top female players in the game. The season consists of 30 games on the weekends in the afternoons, and the league begins play the beginning of October.

Compiles and maintains inventory for all equipment for the Women's Hockey Team.

- Testing and making minor repairs, and in selecting new equipment for purchase.
-Compiles statistics on equipment and malfunction
-Monitors equipment budget
-inventories all new equipment coming into team
-Travel on the road to away games with the team
-Helps prepare rink and team for home game operations
-Sharpen players skates on practice nights, and game nights
-interact with major manufacturer, in regards to equipment ordering and contract negotiations

Qualifications

-Experience sharpening skate is an asset but will also train the right person

Robert Morris University Illinois-Springfield assistant coach position

Robert Morris University Illinois-Springfield is currently accepting resumes for the assistant coach position for the ACHA Division III Men's Club Ice Hockey team. Our season runs from early September into late February. The team usually practices at least night three times a week and play two games on the weekend.

DUTIES:
• Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance. The incumbent develops and delivers training and/or educational programs to promote awareness of improving sports / fitness performance. Conducts evaluations and testing athletes or individuals performance and physical fitness; designing programs to address individual needs for improvement in an efficient safe manner. Responsible for periodic functional movement screening and training toward injury prevention.
• The Strength & Conditioning Coach will also be charged with staying abreast of the latest research in kinesiology, exercise science and nutrition in order to better train clientele.
• Duties also include involvement in outside sales, individual sales, team sales, team training, camp instruction, scheduling and maintaining the equipment and cleanliness of the training facility.
• Make presentations to organizations and at appropriate events including Coaching Programs to help educate coaches, players and parents in the sport sciences and draw business in.
• Make frequent contact with elite prospects and coaches to ensure implementation of and adherence to training programs.
• Build an elite strength and conditioning program that draws in the top athletes (specifically hockey) and administer and coordinate testing, training and tracking protocols for players who train at RHP Training Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Bachelor Degree in Sport Science or related area.
• Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or National Stength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or equivalent.

Flexx Hockey Institute of Training (FHIT Players) - Hockey Director

Title: Hockey Director (full-time position)

Description: FHIT Players is looking for an individual with a coaching and player development background in hockey off-to manage an elite coaching staff and the quality of training. We specialize in working with High School aged players through the Professional levels. Applicants will be responsible for various aspects of program design and implementation, sport specific training and marketing. This position requires a high level of managerial skills, the ability to multi-task, oversee the quality of a large hockey training business and the ability to teach, motivate and develop the staff, coaches and players.

Position Responsibilities: Hockey Director will be responsible for creating, monitoring and evaluating various components of on and off-ice training. Training will include on-ice development as well as strength, plyometric, multi-directional, flexibility, pre- and re-habilitation exercises, skills training and more. Individuals must be willing to work in a team environment and be flexible to the daily challenges and modifications necessary for successful performance in the sports performance industry. Director will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients, reaching out to new athletes, parents and coaches, and marketing hockey specific programs on a daily basis.

Position Requirements: Applicants must have a background in ice-hockey at a competitive level (collegiate or beyond). Candidates who have extensive coaching experience and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Administration or other related fields will have a clear advantage. CPR certification and professional accreditations including but not limited to CSCS, USA-W, USA Hockey CEP Level 4 is a plus. Proficiency in word processing, Microsoft Office products (Work, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.) is also a plus. The Hockey director will be expected to be able to efficiently run and manage the overall quality of training and curriculum for players and coaches.

Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 first year expectations with benefits and the ability to receive $100,000+ by year 3. Qualified individuals, if hired, can expect to receive a competitive salary with the opportunity for bonuses based on a variety of factors including but not limited to, client retention and development, program design and implementation and exemplary performance.

Schedule: Standard operational hours from September to May (12:30pm – 9:30pm); Standard operational hours from June – August (9:00am – 9:00pm) Flexibility in hours exist to accommodate coaches.

Trinity College - Head Men's Hockey Coach

Trinity College, a highly academic ranked liberal arts institution located in Hartford, CT, is accepting applications for the position of Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach. The College is a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference and a NCAA Division III member sponsoring 29 varsity sports. In addition to coaching responsibilities, the new coach will also teach physical education classes in our lifetime sports curriculum and have an administrative duty. Candidate will be the direct link to hockey players, delivering all levels of on-ice and off-ice hockey specific development programs.

About us: Bluestreak is an exciting and innovative sports training facility that focuses on elite hockey development with a primary focus on athletes 12-22 years of age. Bluestreak utilizes the latest technologies from Athletic Republic, Dartfish video analysis, functional strength training, Plyometric training, and on-ice position specific training. The Bluestreak coaching staff consists of dynamic dedicated coaches who are all passionate about teaching hockey related skills and strength training to rising athletes. Bluestreak coaches have access to the latest sport technologies that previously were only available to the elite or professional athlete. Bluestreak is seeking an experienced coach to help the further development of BlueStreak hockey.

Responsibilities: Evaluates and assigns appropriate training measures for athlete development. Judges athlete's progression through various stages of programs and implements various protocols as needed under the guidelines established by BlueStreak Sports Training. Responsibilities include: training and scheduling athletes; implementing all levels of athlete development programs; pre- and post-program testing; making day-to-day training decisions; educating athletes about their hockey training needs; data entry for test results; maintaining an upbeat, outgoing attitude towards all clients and staff; sales, including up-selling and marketing; maintaining relationship with parents, coaches and athletes; additional responsibilities as assigned by Facility Director.

Requirements: Preferred strong background in professional / collegiate hockey ranks, bachelor's degree in, Sports Administration, Exercise Science, Business or closely related field; CPR certification; professional certifications with accredited agencies, such as NSCA, ASCM, etc. Compensation: Very Competitive salary rate with bonuses. Loyola University Chicago Women's Hockey Club Coach Listing

LUC Women's Ice Hockey team is looking for a head coach. The team is a member of the Women's Central Hockey League having won 1st place and 2nd place in the grey division within the last few years. The team is composed of women with a range of skill level. Practices are held once a week at night in the Northbrook area and games are held on weekends primarily in Illinois with a few games in neighboring states.

The coach would be responsible for having drills and tips during practice to better our team, better organize our team play, and to provide instruction during the games. This is a paid position paying $50 every practice and game. They would solely be responsible for coaching hockey and would not be responsible for any paperwork, rink rentals, and the like.
