This position oversees nearly all aspects of program and operations management for men's and women's ice hockey. QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree is preferred as well as degree(s) in physical education, exercise science or a related field preferred. Playing and/or coaching experience at the college-level highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential to teach, lead, and counsel college student-athlets and enthusiasm for the recruiting duties of the position. CPR and First Aid certificaiton will be required prior to coaching William Smith student athletes.

Total Performance Training Center is seeking a former college or professional hockey player to lead our hockey training program.

Total Performance is a sports performance center located inside Total Sports Complex – Wixom, MI (suburban Detroit area), one of the largest turf sports complexes in the world. In addition to a complete performance training center and access to over 200,000 square feet of turf, we also have a hockey treadmill and a 40 x 20 sheet of synthetic ice for shooting and stickhandling work.

Hockey Without Borders is a non-profit organization established to bring sport and culture together. The aim is to promote the overall health and growth of the sport and in turn effect positive change in the lives of young athletes.

We are currently recruiting motivated male & female hockey coaches and players interested in volunteering overseas for the 2014-2015 hockey season. The coaching placement is a great way to gain international experience while sharing your knowledge and passion for the game.

The program offers you a unique opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with an under-resourced hockey community. The aim is to develop young athletes and community based hockey programs. At this time, playing opportunities exist with all of our host clubs for the 2014-2015 season. Travel, coach and play with Hockey Without Borders next season!

Central Michigan University Head Coach Opening

The Central Michigan University Hockey program is seeking qualified candidates for head coaching positions at the ACHA Division III level of the program, for the 2014-15 season.

The Head Coach is responsible for personnel management, mentoring, and on and off-­‐ice training of approximately 25 student athletes with direct supervision over team and club officers and assistant coaches; this includes all tryouts, practices, home and away games, and other team functions such as, end-­‐of-­‐year events, spring recruit skates, marketing, and other possible events. The Head Coach is also expected to closely interact with a 5-10 team support staff (Club President, Secretary, head of hockey operations, etc) and Club sports personnel. The season runs from August through March, but duties extend year-­‐round (recruiting, team communication for scheduling and planning, league conference calls, ACHA annual convention, sponsor interaction, as well as other actions.)

Job Responsibilities:

- Organize, plan and attend two weekly practices
- Prepare for and attend all home and away games, including out-of-state games/tournaments
- Develop and attend off-ice workouts and other team functions
- In conjunction with other coaches, plan, coordinate and participate in team training camp
- Secure and manage assistant coaches
- Develop effective two-way communication plan with team leaders and Association governing body
- Other tasks assigned by Team President, Hockey Director or designee

Qualifications:

- Previous coaching experience required
- Collegiate or Junior playing experience helpful
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to attract and retain high-level players
- USA Hockey Accreditation required, including appropriate level, on-line module and USAH registration (or working to obtain)

The Steele County Blades Tier III Junior A hockey team, a member of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MNJHL), is seeking a head coach beginning May 1, 2014 for the 2014 – 2015 season. The team is located in Owatonna, MN.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Train, develop, recruit and oversee all players that are a part of the Steele County Blades hockey team. Oversee any and all assistant coaches, equipment managers and administrative assistants as necessary.

- Keep the board fully informed of all appropriate team matters and concerns in order to provide effective leadership and overall direction.

- Communicate as needed with community resources, including media in order to promote the well-being of the team and associated personnel. Build relationships with OHS coaches, OYHA organization and Blue Line Club.

- Direct supervision of others as necessary.
Minimum Position Requirements

- High School Graduate
- College Graduate (Preferred but not required)
- Previous experience as head or assistant coach in equivalent skill levels in junior leagues or higher preferred.

Game day management, ( Score sheets, sound system, score keeper, medical trainer, on site referees, away team lockeroom assignment, game tape ..etc.. ). On the road in coordination with the Head coach to schedule pre/post game meals for the players and make hotel rooming list and curfew supervision.

Breaking down video clips under the guidance of the head coach to be able to present video sessions to the team.

Assist club officers in enforcement of club rules for individual players.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess a strong knowledge of the game, strong leadership characteristics, be dedicated and reliable.
Prior playing experience: Minimum of one FULL season at NCAA D-III level

The New Jersey Junior Titans girls program is an established program with teams at the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U19 and developmental levels. Currently we have over 70 girls participating in our club and are looking for a hardworking, motivated candidate interested in bringing our women's hockey program to the national level. Our squirt girls team has just qualified for the NJYHL league playoffs in the boys squirt division. Our U14 girls team won the Mid Atlantic Women's Hockey Association (MAHWAH) regular season championship and finished first in the Atlantic District.

The Greater New Haven Warriors Youth Hockey Association is seeking qualified candidates for head coaching positions at all levels of the program, Mites through Midgets, for the 2014-15 season.

Based out of Northford, CT, the Greater New Haven program is a direct descendant of the first youth hockey league in the United States started in 1946 by Lynn and Lester Patrick of the New York Rangers and captured the inaugural national U14 Championship in 1949 at Madison Square Garden. Since then, Greater New Haven has captured numerous Division, State, Regional and Sectional titles.

Job Responsibilities:

- Organize, plan and attend two weekly practices
- Prepare for and attend all home and away games, including out-of-state tournaments
- Develop and attend off-ice workouts and other team functions
- In conjunction with other league coaches, plan, coordinate and participate in team training camp
- Secure and manage assistant coaches
- Develop effective two-way communication plan with team parents and Association governing body

CT Oilers Internship Program

Internship Program

As a part of the Connecticut Oilers organization, interns will be exposed to the inner workings of a professionally run hockey team. Specifically, interns will receive the opportunity to become involved with game night operations, marketing research and special projects. All interns will be required to handle computer applications with emphasis on Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.). In addition to working games, the intern will have the opportunity to work in the office environment during the season. The semester will offer a chance to learn the daily regimen of a sports franchise, meet important contacts, and the chance to be involved in many aspects of the operation.

Duties

1. Game Night - the game of hockey is an event and much occurs behind the scenes to insure our guests have an enjoyable evening regardless of the outcome. Intern responsibilities on game night will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Helping with in-arena promotions (i.e.: Lobby activities, promotions, and intermission activities) at all CT Oilers home games
- Performing other duties as assigned by full-time staff
- Score Keeping and In-game statistics which includes computer entry
- Video Coordination – arranging video connection and filming of games for fasthockey.com live feeds

2. Research - you will be asked to assist in the research of general market information, hockey specific information and corporate partnership information as well as tracking of various media announcements.
- Create literature, ticket sales promotions, and other special interest projects as needed
- Collect and organize game notes, game stats, team rosters and media guides to distribute on game nights
- Scan daily newspapers and clip all CT Oilers related articles
- Help in compiling team statistics on team and league attendance figures and player performance

3. Special Projects - depending upon your development and time commitments, you could be asked to create special projects to assist the CT Oilers staff. This could include grassroots marketing programs, advertising community projects, etc.

4. Must be a leader with excellent communication with players, administration & parents
5. Passion for the game of ice hockey & coaching
6. Others duties assigned by Hockey Director
7. Flexibility to assist in YYH Skills, Tryout Camp/Evaluations and YYH Summer Hockey Camp

Preferences:

1. Significant playing and/or coaching experience
2. Knowledge and experience within USAH CEP/ADM framework
