UNIVERSITY OF IOWA LADY ICE HAWKS - Women's Club Hockey Head Coach (Part-Time)

The Lady Ice Hawks are seeking a Head Coach for the 2016-2017 season. We are entering our 4th season as a team and will be joining the Women's Central Hockey League (WCHL). We hope to join the ACHA in the next couple of years.

The team usually has a very light season. We start in late September and end in early March, playing approximately 10-14 games (2 games a weekend), with 1 on-ice practice a week, 1 dry-land practice a week (which coaches are not required to attend), and a possible tournament at the end of the season. In the past, we have played other university and club teams, such as the UW-Madison, University of MN, Robert Morris, University of IL, La Crosse, Midland, Nebraska, and Iowa State.

The range of skaters on our team is anywhere from beginning, to high school and AAA players. Given this wide range of player experience, we are looking for someone who is committed to developing every player and is available for most practices and games.

This would especially be a great opportunity for an individual who is interested in starting a coaching career. Our team is still very much in its infancy stages, which means there is lots of room for growth and new ideas.
