Exceptions to this may be extended by the Club President or his designee on an individual basis based on USA Hockey rules and regulations.
Those interested should contact the hockey office at 561-296-0490 or by emailing a cover letter, resume, and 3 professional references to directors@pbiha.com. It is important that all potential coaches be considered good role models with a high commitment level to the kids. We are interested in coaches that seek out professional development opportunities and higher coaching education programs whenever available.
The Palm Beach Ice Hockey Association’s main focus is to develop hockey players both on and off the ice. We will value skill development and character building over winning. Our practices will focus on the fundamentals, emphasizing competition, all while being run at a high tempo. We will quickly set the standards for discipline and effort. Our belief is that the most successful coaches demand hard work, are easy to play for, yet tough to please.
We will not waiver from the idea that skill development comes first. That tactics be introduced to enhance team performance, and that systems be introduced only after all else is in place. We believe in the strength of the team and will conduct team building exercises to ensure that we have close-knit teams where parents and players become one extended family.
Finally, we shall set the bar high, as it’s been proven that a student will perform to the level of the teacher’s expectations.
