Position Description: 6-month, part-time position.
Responsibilities: The Coach of the Ice Hockey Club will serve as the Office of Recreation Services day-to-day supervisor of the Ice Hockey Club. The position reports directly to the Coordinator of Recreation Services, with oversight by the Director of Athletics and Recreation. The Ice Hockey Club Coach will keep the Coordinator of Recreation Services aware of progress and issues related to fundraising and the promotions of club activities (ie: scheduling, maintenance, preparation, and event management issues) for all club activities.

General Description: Head coach shall be responsible in organizing, educating and communicating the game of ice hockey for his/her players. Head coaches shall also provide an atmosphere where players can learn and enjoy the game of hockey.
Job Requirements:
Good communication skills and patience.
Prior experience as a hockey coach in a competitive situation.
Must have completed the USA Hockey Coaching Certification Program (Level 3 or higher). Will need level 4 to coach but we can get you scheduled for the level 4 class.
Flexible work hours.

Time Needed for Position: This is a full-time position that requires time for planning and coaching practices, off ice training, video, and player development as well as games. Mass Attack AAA Summer Tournament Team- Women's Program Director/Men's Assistant Coach

Boston Shamrocks U19 Girls Head Coach-Wilmington, MA
The Boston Shamrocks Elite Women’s Hockey Club is seeking a head coach for our U19 full season team that will compete in the Junior Women’s Hockey League. The Boston Shamrocks is a USA Hockey registered team, and the incumbent must hold at least a Level 3 coaching certification. This position requires experience coaching women at the U19, high school, or collegiate level. The successful candidate must be committed to player development in a positive and nurturing environment. Playing experience is preferred.
The Boston Shamrocks will practice and play out of Ristuccia Arena, the Boston Bruins practice and training facility. The team will have a dedicated locker room, and practice two-three times a week, totaling some 90 practices. Off-ice strength and conditioning will be twice a week, and be handled by a S&C coach. 2008-2009 Season Girls and Boys Qualified Youth Coaches Needed and Guest Clinic Coaches Always Needed
Danbury Ice Arena in Danbury, CT is unleashing its first full blown girls program. We are looking for experienced coaches at all level for girls..U16, U14, U12, and Developmental Levels. The different ages will compete in an in-house league and select tournaments. Pay is comsenurate with experience. We are also looking for qualified coaches for our full house league program. This includes Mite Cross Ice all the way through Bantams. The comittment level is low. Almost always one weekday night and one weekend. Again pay is comensurate with experience. We are looking for coaches that want ot help grow the game and improve on the skills that make good hockey players better. We very rarely allow fathers or mothers to coach so we are looking for all fully qualified coaches. Lastly we are always looking for strong coaches to come in and do specialty clinics throughout the year.
Candidates would also be allowed to coach multiple teams as long as they are not at they same level. I.E. One Squirt Team and one PW team or what have you.

The Pikes Peak Miners AAA Hockey Club is seeking a head coach for our Midget Major AAA team. The incumbent must hold at least a USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certificate. This position requires experience coaching at the AAA level or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience at the Junior A or Collegiate level. The candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of AAA, Junior, and College hockey throughout North America.
This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills. This position requires a commitment to player development and player advancement. Integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic are personal attributes which the successful candidate must possess.

Slippery Rock University is centrally located between Pittsburgh and Erie. It is a Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institution. We are in the DVCHC D-2 league, and we practice at BladeRunners in Warrendale (Cranberry Twp off I-79).

Saint Michael's College - Head Men’s Hockey Coach
Saint Michael's College, an NCAA Division II institution located in Colchester, Vermont, is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Hockey Coach. This is a full-time (11 month) position, with comprehensive benefits. Saint Michael's College is a member of the Northeast-10 and ECAC East Conferences and trains and competes at the Cairns Arena in nearby South Burlington, Vermont. Responsibilities include management of the varsity and sub-varsity programs, along with a secondary duty within the department of athletics. Program aspects include scheduling, coaching at practice and contests, conducting a conditioning and training program, team personal development, recruitment of prospective athletes, ordering of equipment and supplies, budget management, fundraising and alumni development, and academic monitoring. The Head Coach reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director and will directly supervise a part-time varsity assistant and a part-time junior varsity coach. Depending on the successful candidate’s skills, the secondary duty may include the coaching of men’s golf, or administrative responsibilities (i.e. event management and/or club sport supervision). The Head Coach is expected to be a visible and fully integrated member of the College community.
Other credentials include a bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred; demonstrated coaching success; five or more years of collegiate hockey coaching experience, head coach experience highly preferred; knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations; demonstrated success in recruitment; excellent communication skills; demonstrated commitment to the personal and academic development of athletes; demonstrated experience working cooperatively as well as independently; outstanding work ethic; high level of personal integrity.

Danbury Ice Arena is looking for Hockey Coaches for their Summer 2008 Camps and Clinics. We are looking for specialty coaches for a day or a week or coaches that want to work all summer with us. Competitive pay, and great place to work over the summer. Also always looking for players who need communitty service hours for school.
