WOMEN’S DIVISION I ICE HOCKEY CCM ALL-AMERICANS ANNOUNCED

Seven players competing for an NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championship in Durham, NH, this weekend — including four from #1 seed and defending champion Minnesota — have been honored as CCM ALL-AMERICANS for 2004-05. In addition to Minnesota, NCAA semifinalists Harvard (two) and Dartmouth (one) also had honorees, both on the Second Team. The only semifinalist shutout was St. Lawrence, upset winner at Minnesota Duluth a week ago. Noteworthy among the selections:

• Three of the four Minnesota selections were on the First Team.

• Harvard forward Nicole Corriero earned her third Second Team selection.

• Previous First Team selections include Minnesota Duluth forward Caroline Ouellette (2004), and Minnesota forwards Natalie Darwitz (2003) and Krissy Wendell (2004).

The CCM ALL-AMERICAN ICE HOCKEY TEAMS are sponsored by CCM, an international leader in hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION.
