WOMEN’S DIVISION I ICE HOCKEY RBK ALL-AMERICANS ANNOUNCED
Youthful Honorees Include Only Two Seniors

Seven players competing for an NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championship in Minneapolis, MN, this weekend — including three from the #1 seeded University of New Hampshire — have been honored as RBK HOCKEY ALL-AMERICANS for 2005-06. In addition to UNH, NCAA semifinalists St. Lawrence and Wisconsin each had a pair of honorees, both Badgers being First Team selections. The only semifinalist shut out was Minnesota, the defending NCAA Champion.

Noteworthy among the selections:

• Only three honorees came from the United States. Eight came from Canada and one from Switzerland.

• All 12 honorees are first time selections.

• There were six juniors chosen, four sophomores, and only two seniors.

• Five selections came from Hockey East, four from the WCHA, and three from the ECACHL.

The RBK ALL-AMERICAN ICE HOCKEY TEAMS are sponsored by RBK HOCKEY, an international leader in hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION.
