Seven players competing for an NCAA Division I Womens Ice Hockey Championship in Minneapolis, MN, this
weekend including three from the #1 seeded University of New Hampshire have been honored as RBK
HOCKEY ALL-AMERICANS for 2005-06. In addition to UNH, NCAA semifinalists St. Lawrence and Wisconsin
each had a pair of honorees, both Badgers being First Team selections. The only semifinalist shut out was Minnesota,
the defending NCAA Champion.
Noteworthy among the selections:
Only three honorees came from the United States. Eight came from Canada and one from Switzerland.
All 12 honorees are first time selections.
There were six juniors chosen, four sophomores, and only two seniors.
Five selections came from Hockey East, four from the WCHA, and three from the ECACHL.
The RBK ALL-AMERICAN ICE HOCKEY TEAMS are sponsored by RBK HOCKEY, an international leader in
hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION.
