STATEMENT FROM THE AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION
(Download release in PDF Format)

The Officers and Governors of the American Hockey Coaches Association were saddened to learn of the abrupt release of Tim Taylor from his duties as head coach of men’s ice hockey at Yale University. No coach among our 1,300 members is as admired as Tim Taylor and few, if any, have been so respected in the 60-year history of our organization.

It is a sad day for our sport when an individual, who embodies all that we hope for in a coach and teacher, is no longer in our game. For three decades, Tim Taylor has set a shining example for his peers, as well as younger coaches starting out in our profession.

On behalf of the AHCA membership, the Officers and Governors wish to acknowledge Tim’s impressive body of work to date and hope that he finds new opportunities to share his passion for our game within our hockey community.
