(Download release in PDF Format)

Five players competing for an NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championship in Duluth, MN, this weekend — including three from #1 seed Harvard University — have been honored as RBK HOCKEY ALL-AMERICANS for 2007-08. In addition to the Crimson, NCAA semifinalists New Hampshire and host Minnesota-Duluth each had a single selection. The other semifinalist — two-time defending NCAA champion Wisconsin — was shutout.

Noteworthy among the selections:

• Only two players come from the United States. Ten come from Canada.

• Six players had been recognized before.

• There were five seniors chosen, three juniors, and four sophomores.

• Five selections came from the ECAC, three from the WCHA, and two each from the CHA and Hockey East.

The RBK ALL-AMERICAN ICE HOCKEY TEAMS are sponsored by RBK HOCKEY, an international leader in hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION.
