Five players competing for an NCAA Division I Womens Ice Hockey Championship in Duluth, MN, this weekend including three from #1 seed Harvard University have been honored as RBK HOCKEY ALL-AMERICANS for 2007-08. In addition to the Crimson, NCAA semifinalists New Hampshire and host Minnesota-Duluth each had a single selection. The other semifinalist two-time defending NCAA champion Wisconsin was shutout.
Noteworthy among the selections:
Only two players come from the United States. Ten come from Canada.
Six players had been recognized before.
There were five seniors chosen, three juniors, and four sophomores.
Five selections came from the ECAC, three from the WCHA, and two each from the CHA and Hockey East. The RBK ALL-AMERICAN ICE HOCKEY TEAMS are sponsored by RBK HOCKEY, an international leader in hockey equipment, and chosen by members of the AMERICAN HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION.
