FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR AHCA MEN’S HOCKEY DIVISION III COACH OF THE YEAR
(Download release in PDF Format)

Thirteen coaches who have enjoyed on-ice success in 2008-09 have been named finalists for the Edward Jeremiah Award, given annually to the College Division (NCAA Division III) Men’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year. Named in honor of the former Dartmouth head coach, the Jeremiah Award will be presented at the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Coach of the Year Banquet on Saturday, April 25, in Naples, FL.

The nominees represent any coach who won or shared Coach of the Year honors in his conference this past season, along with coaches whose teams have advanced to the Frozen Four. Of this year's finalists, only Mark Taylor of Hobart College represents both groups.

The only former winner among the finalists is Mike McShane of Norwich University, a three-time recipient of the award. Other participants in this week's NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four at Lake Placid, NY, are Dominick Dawes of Neumann College, Brett Petersen of Gustavus Adolphus College, and Terry Watkins of Wisconsin-Stout.
