Newton, MA. … College Hockey, Inc. has added a key new member to its staff.
Jeffrey Dwyer of New Canaan, Connecticut has been chosen to become the Director of Education & Recruitment. His primary mission will be to develop a comprehensive education and marketing campaign to be aimed at prospective student athletes and their families.
Jeff is a 2004 graduate of Yale University, where he played varsity hockey for four years. He was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2000 NHL entry draft and played in the Thrashers’ organization for two years after college with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League and Gwinnett Gladiators of the East Coast Hockey League. He also played professionally for one year in Cortina, Italy, and one year for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders.
Jeff turned to coaching hockey in 2008, and was an Assistant Coach for the Utah Grizzlies for one season. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Coach and Head of Scouting for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the United States Hockey League.
College Hockey, Inc. is a newly formed non-profit entity founded by the Hockey Commissioners’ Association. Its mission is to raise the profile of NCAA college hockey and to represent the interests of colleges and universities with Division One Men’s Ice Hockey programs.
