Univ. of Minnesota Duluth Remains No. 1 in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll
The University of Minnesota Duluth is atop the poll for the seventh straight week ... The Central Collegiate Hockey Association leads all conferences with five ranked teams, while Hockey East Association and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association have four ranked teams and ECAC Hockey has two ranked programs. Legendary Irish hockey coach Charles "Lefty" Smith dies
Charles W. "Lefty" Smith Jr., the patriarch of University of Notre Dame ice hockey after bringing the Irish program into the modern era beginning in 1968-69 and spending 19 seasons as Irish head coach, died of natural causes in his South Bend, Ind., home. He was 81. (Full Release)

AHCA Mourns the Passing of Nancy Holt
The extended AHCA family is saddened by the news that Nancy Holt has passed away. The wife of legendary coach Charlie Holt and mother of Brad (University of New England head coach) and Brenda, Nancy was a unique figure in the New England and national hockey community. (Full Release)

NATE LEAMAN of UNION COLLEGE IS AHCA MEN'S DIVISION I COACH of the YEAR
For his efforts in leading the Dutchmen of Union College to a first place regular season finish in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), Nate Leaman has been chosen the winner of the 2011 Spencer Penrose Award as Division I Men's Coach of the Year. (Full Release)

MEN'S OLD TIME HOCKEY DIVISION I ALL-AMERICANS ANNOUNCED
Fourteen different Division I hockey-playing schools can celebrate players honored as Old Time Hockey All Americans for the 2010-11 season. The nation's top 24 college hockey players were announced tonight at the NCAA Men's Division I Frozen Four in St. Paul, MN. (Full Release)

TIM COGHLIN of ST. NORBERT COLLEGE IS NAMED AHCA MEN'S DIVISION III COACH of the YEAR
Tim Coghlin, who led St. Norbert College to a 25-4-1 record and the school's second NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey National Championship, has been named the 43rd recipient of the Edward Jeremiah Award, given annually to the Men's Division III Ice Hockey Coach of the Year.(Full Release)

MARK BOLDING of NORWICH UNIVERSITY REPEATS AS AHCA DIVISION III WOMEN'S HOCKEY COACH OF THE YEAR

NOTRE DAME ALUM MIKE COLLINS TO RECEIVE LAMORIELLO AWARD
Dr. Michael Collins, a former hockey player at the University of Notre Dame and a Chicago-based orthopedic surgeon, is the winner of the 2010 Lou Lamoriello Award, it was announced today by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). (Full Release)
